These are the qualities that define Randy Spurling. In 2001, with a young family to care for, Randy took a leap of faith (backed by that hard work and consistency) and started On The Spot Cleaners. Randy launched the company to address a significant need - to ensure his family and others had safe homes to live in, free from harmful dust, mold, and other contaminants. Randy’s unwavering dedication to his family and his On The Spot team has driven him to build a thriving company. He invests in his employees, he invests in knowledge and skill building, he cares about quality, and with this good business model On The Spot Cleaners is the successful company it is today.
Randy loves reading, listening, and learning. He took the carpet cleaning knowledge he gained from his own experience and expanded it into 15 Certifications and an NYS license for Mold Remediation. There is no shortage of knowledge or skills that can be learned. Knowing the limited learning resources available in his niche industry, Randy decided to become an Industry Instructor. Like when he started his company, he saw a need and set out to address it.
He doesn’t keep his knowledge to himself. He cares about sharing his methods of success to help other entrepreneurs find their way. He preaches hard work, dedication, and consistency. And he leads by example. He also makes it very clear that he cares a lot about his team. The confidence he has in his employees is felt daily. On The Spot’s team is made up of long-time employees, many of whom started as apprentices and worked for 6-8 months or longer under a mentor. Each of them is well-equipped to handle even the toughest cleaning projects, safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Randy is a family man through and through. Randy’s daughter Lindsay is the friendly voice you’ll find on the other end of the line when you give the office a call. And if you catch their commercial, you’ll see Randy, alongside his wife Brittney, proudly sharing their company with the Greater Rochester area.
